Hey everybody, just writing up my first blog post on the site. Might do a introduction post later on just to give most a sense of who I am but for now on to the problem!

The yellow light of death for a PS3 owner is something to fear, not as much as the RROD for 360 owners but enough to piss you off all the same.

He I stand with my problem, this will the second time in the last four months, and I have to think of proper solutions. Right now my main concern is to get my first generation PS3 back up and working (if possible) so that I can recover all my HDD saved games, files, movies, etc. Then I must figure out when to get a new console; as soon as possible or waiting until 'Black Friday' in the U.S.A

The most important aspect of this dilemma is that I'm unable to play anything on my console for a while, which affects my chances of getting time with NFS: Most Wanted coming out at the end of the month.

*sigh* I'm currently interested in getting the Assassin's Creed 3 PS3 bundle, since it has the giant 500GB HDD and the new-er slim PS3. That would make my added 300 HDD I recently installed in my system obsolete. But for the most part I'm seeing a lot of $299.99 price tags floating around official retailers (Best Buy, amazon.ca/.com, ebgames/Gamestop, etc). Thus eBay might help me out once again.

An example view of what it is like on amazon http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0050SWQ86/ref=cm_sw_r_fa_dp_uRbJqb1CAKXMM

Until I can actually get my console fixed, I'll be playing Guild Wars 2, and some new games on my PS Vita (finally!).
